Hanbaga Dragon at Dokioo

By Lasmarya Hadi Purwanto - April 18, 2016

The weather has been crazily HOT these past few weeks. It's like summer is finally making a stop here in Medan. The fans are not enough to chase away the heat, and so does the cooler. Even doing nothing, just sitting still makes you sweaty. Heat, please go away. Bring back the cool breeze. I want those rainy days we had before to come back. Pleaasseeee...

Well, on one fine day, when the weather was super hot, and we finished work early, my colleague and I went to Dokioo again to cool ourselves off. We don't have any air-con in our workplace and the nearest hangout (air-con guaranted) is Dokioo. And, they serve dessert! The best thing you could get to fight off the heat! So there we went.

Tried this Hanbaga Dragon (basically means Hamburger with Dragon Fruit sauce! Yes, hamburger featuring dragon fruit! How weird could it be?)
It can be said as a fully-packed Hamburger, with cheese, egg, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, fries and meat. Super tender meat that melt in the mouth once you chew it, and weirdly, it tastes well with the dragon fruit sauce and sambal (chilli sauce). Can you spot the purple sauce with seeds? That's the dragon fruit sauce! Recommended!

Had my spare of dessert called Rainbow Furutsu (Rainbow colored fruits?)
When I looked at the picture in the menu, I thought that the fruits were stacked on top of ice-creams, which would be super awesome haha. But when it was served, I was disappointed that it was shaved ice. My bad, though. Still enjoy it anyway. A great choice in the sunny weather. :)

How's the weather in your living area?
Is it hot? or maybe cold?
Save yourself some dessert and drink lots of water if it's hot,
yet let yourself warm up with some hot tea if it is too cold.
:)
See you again,

xoxo
